Lady Grizzlies fight against Cancer

This Friday night’s girls basketball is their “Hooping for a Hope” night celebrating the fight against Cancer.  The Girls teams take on Ann Arbor Skyline and will be in their Pink uniforms in honor of this fight.  JV game begins at 5:30 with the Varsity to follow around 7:00 pm.  Go Grizzlies!!

The Ypsilanti Men’s Basketball team continued it’s winning ways Last Friday night beating the highly ranked River Rats of Ann Arbor Huron.  Huron came into the game ranked in the top 12 in the state came out in the normal press which the Grizzlies handled well from the start.  The lead switch a few times

New Scorer’s Table dedicated

The new Athletic Scorer’s table that was purchased last Spring and is used during all home volleyball games and basketball games was dedicated Friday night, Jan. 23rd, during the halftime of the Boys Varsity Basketball game vs. A. Double Overtime Win for Varsity Boys!

The varsity boys clinched an exciting win in double overtime in Friday’s match up with Lincoln. The final score was 70-63. Excitement and emotions ran high the whole contest and in the end the Grizzlies claimed the victory. Jameszell Davis led with a career high 25pts. Coach Brooks was quoted in the Ann Arbor News

Varsity Men’s Basketball Claims Win Over Chelsea!

Led by Corey Allen with 27points and a triple-double the Grizzlies defeat Chelsea at home 66-43! Jameszell Davis also scored 10 points in the contest helping clinch the victory. The girls fought hard with impressive stats from Jadah Anderson, scoring 18 points but were defeated on the road 38-56.

Wrestling rescheduled

Today’s Wrestling meet is postponed and will be moved to Monday Jan. 26th.  It will take place here at Ypsilanti Community High School starting at 5:30 pm!

New Athletic Secretary at Ypsilanti

Ms. Katie Hanks has taken over as the new athletic secretary at Ypsilanti Community Schools.  Katie takes over for Kathy Musser who resigned back in November.  Katie was one of many qualified candidates that applied and were interviewed but her knowledge in computers, athletics and positive attitude put her above all.  She begins here at
