Spring Sports begin today March 9th, 2015

Grizzlies have good showing at Lincoln in basketball

Both the boys and girls basketball teams traveled to Lincoln on Friday night (2/27/15) and brought home victories.  The girls game the result came a little easier with a dominating 59-28 victory or the Railsplitters.  It took two extra stanzas for the boys to get their victory coming home with a 65-57 double overtime win.

Ypsi Grizzlies lose in Team Districts

The young Ypsilanti wrestling team competed at Wayne Memorial for the MHSAA districts and unfortunately came up short against a very good and eventual District Champion Belleville team.  The Grizzlies had a lone bright spot for the night with Austin Listerman (160 pound) earning a 9-8 decision in the final bout of the semifinal match.

Senior Football Players Sign to play at the next level

The Ypsilanti men’s basketball beat the visiting Jackson High School Vikings on Monday night with a great performance by junior Corey Allen who paced the Grizzlies with a career high 42 points, 12 rebounds 6 assists.  The Grizzlies played great defense against a very athletic team to get the win.  This win improves their record

Lady Grizzlies fight against Cancer

This Friday night’s girls basketball is their “Hooping for a Hope” night celebrating the fight against Cancer.  The Girls teams take on Ann Arbor Skyline and will be in their Pink uniforms in honor of this fight.  JV game begins at 5:30 with the Varsity to follow around 7:00 pm.  Go Grizzlies!!

Double Overtime Win for Varsity Boys!

The varsity boys clinched an exciting win in double overtime in Friday’s match up with Lincoln. The final score was 70-63. Varsity Men’s Basketball Claims Win Over Chelsea!

Led by Corey Allen with 27points and a triple-double the Grizzlies defeat Chelsea at home 66-43! Jameszell Davis also scored 10 points in the contest helping clinch the victory. The girls fought hard with impressive stats from Jadah Anderson, scoring 18 points but were defeated on the road 38-56.
